Notifications Center

The Notifications page in Shoplogix IMS is your unified inbox for all platform alerts. It lists every notification across all your monitored assets — active, snoozed, and resolved — in a single paginated view.

To open it, select Notifications in the left sidebar.

Notification Types

Notifications are generated for the following event categories:

CategoryTypes
Steam TrapBlowthrough, Unexpected Cold, Leaking By, Intermittent Blowthrough, Failed Cold
MachineThreshold Breach
SensorOffline, Sleep, Service Needed
GatewayOffline

Filtering the List

The toolbar at the top of the page provides four filters that can be combined in any combination:

  • Notification Type — narrows the list to a specific category (e.g., Blowthrough only, or Sensor Status only)
  • Resolution Status — show Unresolved, Resolved, or All notifications
  • Date Range — calendar picker to restrict results to a specific time window
  • Site — on multi-site accounts, filter to a single site

The header badge shows the total count of notifications matching the current filter combination.

Resolving a Notification

Each notification card shows the notification type, asset details, and event timestamp. For steam trap notifications the card also includes a View Steam Trap link that opens the trap detail page.

To resolve a notification:

  1. Click Resolve on the notification card. Users with view-only access will see a View button instead, which opens the same detail page in read-only mode.
  2. Complete the resolution form. The form fields vary by notification type:
    • Steam trap failure notifications (Blowthrough, Intermittent Blowthrough, Leaking By, Unexpected Cold) — indicate whether the trap was inspected, record the inspection date, confirm whether the failure was verified, and record whether the trap was repaired or replaced along with the date. For Blowthrough, Intermittent Blowthrough, and Leaking By notifications, trap replacement is required when the failure is confirmed.
    • Sensor status notifications (Offline, Service Needed) — acknowledge the event. The Shoplogix support team is automatically notified when these occur.
  3. Click Resolve to submit. The notification status changes to Resolved and the active notification count updates.

Snoozing a Notification

Snoozed notifications remain visible in the list but do not generate new email alerts for 7 days. After the snooze period expires the notification returns to active status and email alerting resumes. You can re-snooze after expiry.

Snooze is managed from the notification preferences, not the notification card itself. See Notifications & Alerts for details.

Exporting the List

The notification list can be exported to Excel (.xlsx) from the table toolbar. The export reflects the current filter selection.
