Steam Trap Dashboard

The Steam Trap Dashboard is your primary working view for steam trap fleet health. It gives you a fleet-level snapshot — coverage, trap states, and a prioritized list of traps that need attention — all on one screen.

Path: Insights left nav → Steam Trap Monitoring → Dashboard (or navigate directly to /steam/dashboard)

Coverage Chart

The Coverage chart is a donut chart showing what percentage of your registered steam traps have active Eversensor monitoring. The center displays the coverage percentage; the segments show monitored versus unmonitored counts.

Use this chart to track deployment completeness. If coverage is below your target, the chart links to your site profiles where you can update the total trap count or associate additional sensors.

If no total trap count has been entered for your site, the chart will prompt a site admin to add that number to the site profile before a percentage can be calculated.

Trap States Chart

The Trap States chart is a donut chart grouping all monitored traps into three high-level categories:

CategoryWhat it means
GoodTrap is operating within expected parameters
Steam LossTrap is in a failure state that involves steam loss (Blowthrough, Leaking By, Intermittent)
Failed ColdTrap is in an unexpected cold condition

The chart title shows the total number of traps currently monitored.

Trap Triage List

Below the charts, the Triage List shows all traps that are in a non-Good state. Each card in the list displays:

  • Site — the customer site the trap belongs to
  • Location — facility and location within the site
  • Tag — the service tag identifying the trap
  • Days Failed — how long the trap has been in its current failure state
  • State — the current trap state (shown in the card footer)
  • Amount Lost — estimated steam loss cost, or COLD for unexpected cold traps

Cards are paginated. Click any card to open the trap detail view for that trap.

If no traps are in a non-Good state, the triage list displays "0 Trap Issues."

Summary View

The Summary view (/steam/summary) provides a full searchable and sortable table of all your steam traps — including traps in Good state. Use it to:

  • Search for a specific trap by service tag or location
  • Sort by any column (state, last reading time, sensor status, etc.)
  • Export your full trap list to Excel

Click any row in the Summary table to open that trap's detail view.

Support Resources

The dashboard includes a support panel with a link to the IMS Knowledge Base and the support email (ims-support@shoplogix.com) for questions or issues.
